Highlight Reels allow you to curate dynamic video compilations from respondent uploads. By combining clips, slides, and text, you can craft engaging narratives that bring your insights to life and simplify storytelling.

Creating a Reel: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Curate Your Content

Before building a reel, identify and extract the key moments from your video and photo responses.

• Create Clips: Open any video in the Dashboard or AI View. Click Create Clip to trim the specific segment you need and select Add to Reel.

• Add Images: You can also select uploaded images directly from the dashboard and click Add to Reel to add them to a reel to serve as static visual aids.

Step 2: Build and Refine

Navigate to the Reels tab to assemble your story. The editor allows you to arrange your assets into a cohesive narrative.

• Orientation: The reel’s format (Landscape or Portrait) is automatically determined by the first clip added.

• Reordering: Use the arrows on the left of each item to sequence your clips and slides.

• Add Context: Use Add Text Slide for titles or key takeaways, and Add Image Slide to insert charts or photos between video segments.

• Polish: Before finalising:

  • Upload a custom Thumbnail (PNG).

  • Add a Description for Observers.

  • Toggle Show respondent
    names on the video for attribution.

  • Enable English Subtitles for accessibility.

Step 3: Render and Share

A reel must be Rendered to burn in subtitles and transitions before it can be viewed by others.

1. Render: Generates the final video file. Note: This locks the reel from further editing.

2. Share: Makes the rendered reel visible to Observers linked to the project.

3. Download: Once rendered, you can download the .mp4 file for external use.

Making Edits to a Rendered, Live Reel

To edit a reel that has already been shared:

1. Un-share the reel (Observer access is paused).

2. Make your changes in the editor.

3. Re-render and Share again.
