Building Your Highlight Reel

This article guides you through the process of selecting clips, adding images, and organizing your narrative within the Indeemo Dashboard.

Note on Workflow: Building a reel is a two-stage process.

  1. Stage 1 (This Article): Focus on clipping raw data, adding photos, and building transition slides.

  2. Stage 2 (Next Article): Edit your transcripts and subtitles only when you are completely finished with your sequence.

Warning: Do not spend time editing transcripts or translations while in "Draft" mode. Your edits will only be saved and "burned in" after the final rendering process.

Step 1: Curate Your Content

Before assembling your reel, you must extract the specific moments you wish to feature from your project data.

  1. Create Video Clips: Open any video in the Dashboard or AI View.

Top tip! Use Indeemo's prompt library to help you surface insights with timestamps

  2. Click Create Clip to select the segment you need. Use the needles to refine the clip.

  3. Click Add to Reel, then Create New Reel or Select an existing one, to send that clip to the reel builder.

  4. Add Images: Select any uploaded participant image from the dashboard and click Add to Reel.

Step 2: Organize the Sequence

Navigate to the Reels view to arrange your selected assets.

Do not edit transcripts or translations while in Draft mode. These should be edited after Rendering.

  1. Check Orientation: The reel’s format (Landscape or Portrait) is automatically set by the first clip you add.

  2. Reorder Items: Click and drag the arrows on the left side of any clip or image to change its position in the timeline.

  3. Insert Transition Slides: * Click Add Text Slide to create title cards or introductory text between clips.

    • Click Add Image Slide to upload external files (like charts or brand logos) into the sequence.

Next Steps

Once your sequence is finalized, proceed to Article 2: Editing Transcripts and Sharing Your Reel to:

  1. Render your Reel

  2. Edit transcripts and Subtitles

  3. Download or share your Highlight Reel.
