Tracking Task Completion and Respondent Activity

The Task Completion view is your central hub for participant monitoring. It provides a detailed, granular breakdown of every respondent's progress and submissions, allowing you to track completion rates and quality across your entire study.

Navigating the Task Completion view

This view is designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to track progress in a way that suits your research questions:

  1. Select Your Project: Start by navigating to your specific Indeemo project.

  2. Filter and Focus: Use the various built-in filters to refine your view. You can choose to look at progress across all tasks, or even a single task.

  3. View Respondents: You can track completion across all respondents simultaneously, or navigate directly into a single respondent's profile to review their history and individual performance.

Tracking Submissions and Upload Details

The core functionality of this view is showing you what action each respondent has taken for every task.

  • Real-Time Progress: You can track progress across your project and respondents however you wish.

  • Upload Icons (The Key Data): For each task completed by a respondent, you will see the exact type and quantity of files they uploaded:

Why This is Important: Understanding Upload Flexibility

The Required Response for each task guides respondents on what they should upload.

For Sequential tasking, this is a hard requirement. Respondents receive a notification if they submit the wrong required response.

Indeemo accepts an unlimited number of uploads for each task, so the icons in the completion view show you what the respondent actually submitted,.

This allows you, the moderator, to quickly assess compliance with your instructions and navigate to the relevant submission for detailed review.

'Last Upload' Column (Activity Tracking)

The Last Upload column populates to the exact second that a respondent submits an upload.

  • Function: This column displays time relative to the current moment (e.g., "a few seconds ago," "three minutes ago").

  • Value for Moderators: This is a powerful metric for tracking when respondents are genuinely active in the app. It provides real-time insight into the respondents who are currently engaging with tasks, helping you gauge overall project momentum.

'Last Reminder' Column (Team Coordination)

The Last Reminder column shows the timestamp of the last reminder sent to that respondent by anyone on your research team (you, another moderator, or a recruiter).

  • Function: This helps you and your team stay in sync and coordinated, ensuring participants are receiving timely reminders without being overwhelmed by multiple team members contacting them at once.

  • Viewing History: To see exactly what previous reminders a respondent received, simply click on the Remind button next to their name. This action will open the full reminder history in a column on the right side of your screen.

Please find a step by step guide on Sending Reminders to Individuals or Groups.

Sequential Tasking: The ‘Skip’ Button

When the project uses Sequential tasking, you'll notice a Skip button on Task Completion view for each task/ each respondent.

With sequential tasking, respondents must submit at least the defined Required Response, in order to progress through each task.

If for any reason, you'd like to help a respondent move past their current task, you can use the 'Skip' button. The current task will remain available for them to complete.

Clicking Skip moves unlocks the next task for the respondent even if the Required Response has not been met for the current task.
