Using the Respondent Mobile Website (web.indeemo.com) instead of the App
While Indeemo is a mobile-first platform designed to capture in-the-moment insights, the Indeemo Respondent Mobile Website provides a flexible alternative for resapondents who need to complete tasks on a web browser - whether on a desktop computer or a mobile device (if app installation is not possible).
This allows you to seamlessly integrate desktop based tasks into any project flow.

Why Use the Indeemo Mobile Website?
You may choose to utilise the mobile website for tasks that are best completed on a larger screen or require specific desktop screen recording functionality.
Participants can upload photos, videos, notes and screen recordings.
-
Long-Form Text Tasks: Participants may find it easier to type lengthy notes, diary entries, or detailed reflections on a full keyboard.
-
Desktop Screen Recordings: Facilitates capturing screen recordings of activities performed on a computer, such as:
-
Website or software usability testing.
-
Online purchase journeys.
-
Digital workflow demonstrations.
-
Important Note: Notifications
We strongly recommend that participants download and log in to the native Indeemo App on their phone.
The Indeemo Mobile Website does not have notifications built in, meaning participants will not receive crucial reminders or in-the-moment task prompts, which can impact completion rates and the quality of in-the-moment data.
The native app is always the preferred and most engaging method of participation.
Respondent Access and Login
The process for participants to access the Web Portal is straightforward:
-
Access the mobile website: Participants should navigate to
web.indeemo.comin their web browser (on mobile or desktop). -
Log In: They must log in using the same Indeemo credentials (email/username and password) they use for the mobile app.
Once logged in, they will be able to view and complete any tasks that have been assigned to them via the Web Portal.
Guiding Participants to the Mobile Website
As a moderator, you can easily direct participants to use the Mobile Website for specific tasks or for the entire project.
1. For Specific Tasks (Mobile App is Primary)
If you are running a standard mobile-first project but need one or more tasks completed on a desktop or web browser, include a simple instruction within the task itself:
To complete this task on a desktop or computer, log into web.indeemo.com with your Indeemo credentials and complete the task there.
2. For Desktop-Only Projects (Mobile App is Not Used)
If your research requires participants to complete all tasks via a desktop web browser (and not the app), we recommend adjusting the registration process:
-
Registration Guidance: When sending out the initial invitation/registration email, you should guide participants to click the registration link on their desktop computer.
-
Follow-up: They should then follow the on-screen steps to register and log in via the Mobile Website, bypassing the mobile app setup.
