Project Testing: Previewing and Testing as a Respondent

Indeemo offers two ways for you to review the participant experience:

1. Quick Review: Previewing Your Task List

The "Preview as Respondent" feature gives you a static, high-level view of how your Task List appears to a participant. This is perfect for a fast visual check of your content.

Steps:

Navigate to Manage Projects.
Select Edit Project for the study you wish to check.
On the left side of the screen, underneath the navigation bar, click the Preview as Respondent button.
Select the Target Group you wish to preview. This will display the Task List assigned to that group.

What You Will See:

The preview will show the Task List structured as follows:

The Introduction (first thing the participant sees).
A summary of all tasks in the Task List.
The Completion Message.

To see the full details of any task, simply click on the task title.

The rating scale component of any task is not currently displayed in this preview.

2. In-Depth: Testing as a Respondent

To verify the actual flow of your tasks you need to add yourself as a respondent and test the project live in the Indeemo app.

Preparation:

Create a Test Target Group: Create a new Target Group specifically for testing (e.g., "Moderator Test Group").
Clone the Task List: Clone your Task List to your new Test Target Group. This allows you to safely edit the schedule without affecting your live participant group.
Adjust the Schedule (Crucial Step):
- All at Once / Sequential: Recommended for quick testing as they are immediately available.
- Scheduled Tasking: Change the start and end dates in the test Task List so that tasks are released during your testing window.

Testing:

Add Yourself as a Participant depending on the Recruitment Type you have chosen:
- Invite Respondents via Email (Manual): Add your email to your newly created Test Target Group.
- Inviting Respondents with the Customised Registration Page (URL or QR Code): Using your mobile, click on the URL or scan the QR Code.
- Use an Alternative Email: You must use an email address other than your moderator/business dashboard email. If you use your business email for the dashboard, you must use a personal or alternative email for participant testing.
Log In and Test: Once you have registers and downloaded the Indeemo app, log in and this will allow you to experience the flow exactly as your participants will.
